تِنِّين [مفرد]: ج تَنانينُ:
1- (حن) حيوان أسطوريّ ضخم يجمع بين الزواحف والطير، يمثلونه بجناحي عقاب، ومخالب أسد وذنب أفعى، ويتّخذ في بعض البلاد رمزًا قوميًّا "كثُر ذِكْرُ التِّنِّين في الحكايات الشَّعبيّة القديمة".
2- نوعٌ من الحيَّات.
